How to Enter

Stage 1 - Nominations

From the beginning of March 2008, online nomination forms will be available courtesy of Audio Media. Here you may nominate up to 5 entries for each category to go forward to the public voting stage. You can nominate a project / person / facility – any entry that you think reflects the great UK audio talent that we have, worthy of a conch award.

Stage 2 – Voting

From the beginning of June 2008, all online nominations will be categorised and put online for you to vote for your favourite entry. You will be allowed one vote per category.

Stage 3 – Judging

A shortlist of 3 finalists for each category will be compiled from the online voting results. Footage for the 3 finalists will then be judged by an independent group of judges to decide on the winner for each category.

The following rules and eligibility will apply :

Nominations

  • Your nominations MUST relate to the period 1 st June 2007 – 31 st May 2008. Any entries containing footage from outside these dates will not go through to the voting stage. TV programmes and commercials must have aired in this period. Films must have had a cinema release in this period.
  • A project may be entered into any number of relevant categories. However, the judges reserve the right to re-allocate any entry, which in their view has been incorrectly categorised.
  • You can nominate up to 5 different entries for each category.
  • Companies are encouraged to nominate the work of others.
  • Non-UK Screen Association members are allowed to nominate.
  • Companies are allowed to nominate their own projects.
  • Companies are allowed to nominate their own staff.
  • Companies are allowed to nominate their own facilities.
  • People awards - If you are nominating a person you will need to nominate 3 credits for that person from the period 1 st June 2007 – 31 st May 2008.
  • Project awards – If you are nominating a project you will need to name the facility that the project was post produced at.
  • Facility awards – If you are nominating your facility you will be asked to nominate a testimonial and showreel.

 

Voting

  • Please vote for ONE person or project in each category.
  • You DO NOT have to vote in every single category for your vote to be counted.
  • Non-UK Screen Association members are allowed to vote.
  • Companies are allowed multiple votes. A person can vote only once but more than one person can vote from a company as long as they have a valid and recognised email address.
  • Companies are allowed to vote for their own projects.
  • Companies are allowed to vote for their own staff.
  • Companies are allowed to vote for their own facilities.
  • If you cannot enter a category for your own company, please enter other projects, companies, people that you feel should receive a vote.
  • If you reach the final 3 and a showreel or footage is requested, this must be prepared and delivered by the deadline date. If the showreel is not received in time, you will be disqualified and the closest nominee in votes will take your place in the final.
  • Footage and showreels must be 90 sec only and all work must relate to the period above.
